Pawnee Indians



The Pawnee Indians are located near Platte, Loup, and Republican Rivers, in other words what we all know as Nebraska.
This area was made of grasslands, valleys, streams, and hills. In this area there were not so many trees.
There were a huge number of wild grasses, flowers, and vegetables native of this land.
The tall grass priries were well known for its bluestem grass. There were a big part of sunflower plants, cottonwood trees, Indian grass, needle grass, and wheat grass.
Summers were hot, and winters were long and very cold.
The most common animal was the buffalo it was very important because the Pawnee Indian depend on them, if the buffalo move east they move east, if the buffalo move south they move south...They depend on them because they eat there meat and they dress with the skin...
The Pawnee Indians planted corn, beans, pumpkins, and squash. They planted depending in the position of the stars.
